Hans Scholl (1918–1943) and Sophie Scholl (1921–1943) were the brother and sister at the centre of the 'White Rose' (Weiße Rose) non-violent student resistance group at the University of Munich, who were arrested by the Gestapo in February 1943 and guillotined days later, students who had chosen resistance over silence, for distributing anti-Nazi leaflets.
This volume gathers their personal letters and diaries from May 1937 through the final weeks before their arrest, offering an intimate primary record of two young people's moral, intellectual, religious, and spiritual development under Nazi totalitarianism.
