A philosophical and historical study of the SS judge who, while serving the Reich, opened internal investigations into corruption and 'unauthorized' killings inside the concentration camps, building cases against figures including Karl-Otto Koch (Buchenwald) and members of Adolf Eichmann's circle, while leaving the systematic genocide untouched. The figure raises profound questions about moral agency and the possibility of conscience within a criminal institution.
