The first publication of the surviving private correspondence between Heinrich Himmler, his wife Margarete (Marga) Boden and their daughter Gudrun, recovered in Israel decades after the war. Hundreds of private letters written between 1927 and 1945 reveal the striking contradiction between Himmler's outwardly ordinary domestic life and his role as head of the SS and architect of the Holocaust.
